A few months after launching the Copilot preview inside VS Code, GitHub extends support to JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ, PyCharm, GoLand, WebStorm, RubyMine) and to Neovim for terminal purists.

Meaning: if you use IntelliJ for Java or PyCharm for Python, you can finally tap the same AI assistant without switching editors. Sysadmins living in Vim can also try it.

It's the signal that Copilot won't stay VS Code-only: GitHub aims to be multi-IDE, going head-to-head with Tabnine and Kite.
