ChatGPT Memory: cross-conversation persistence for OpenAI models
In one sentence OpenAI introduces Memory in ChatGPT: the model can recall user information across separate conversations, with explicit controls to view, edit, or delete what it remembers.

OpenAI adds persistent memory to ChatGPT. Until now every conversation started from zero: you had to re-explain who you are, what you do, how you like answers.
From now on ChatGPT can remember things between chats. Examples: "I work as a lawyer in Milan," "I prefer short answers," "my kids are named X and Y."
A panel shows everything it has stored; you can delete individual memories or all of them. You can also turn the feature off entirely.
