Box launches Box AI, an assistant that answers questions about documents stored in the platform. A lawyer can ask "what are the termination clauses in this contract?" and receive the answer with the exact page number, without reading the whole PDF.
The feature works on PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint files, and Box Notes. Users can request summaries, comparisons between documents, or specific data extraction.
Box AI also includes developer APIs so companies can build custom applications that query their own documents stored in Box.
