Sweep AI: the agent that opens the PR before you finish your coffee

Sweep is an AI agent that monitors open issues on GitHub and resolves them on its own. When you assign an issue to Sweep, it reads the code, understands the problem, writes the fix, updates the tests, updates the documentation, and opens a pull request. The developer only needs to review and merge. It was the first coding agent widely used in production by real teams, not just in demos or labs. Created by a YCombinator team, it proved that automating the entire issue-to-PR cycle is possible as early as 2024.
