FLUX1.1 Pro Ultra: 4MP generation in 10s, photoreal Raw mode
In one sentence Black Forest Labs ships FLUX1.1 [pro] Ultra: native 4 megapixels (2K+), 10s latency, and a 'Raw' mode that produces less 'AI-looking' results closer to real photography.
Black Forest Labs (founded by the former Stable Diffusion team) updates FLUX1.1 Pro with two variants: Ultra and Raw. Ultra generates 4-megapixel images (over 2000×2000 px) in about 10 seconds via API — until then SOTA models capped at 1 megapixel.
Raw is the more interesting novelty for production users: instead of "aesthetically perfect but clearly AI" outputs (too-smooth skin, cinematic lighting), it produces results with grain, exposure errors, less balanced composition — closer to a real photo.
For ad studios, photographers, and content makers the jump is real: you exit the "Midjourney aesthetic" without hours of prompt engineering.
