At WWDC 2025, Apple unveiled iOS 19 with Apple Intelligence version 1.5. The biggest change is Siri: it now has a real large language model powering it, so it can handle complex requests and chain multiple steps without getting lost. Before, Siri would often fail on anything beyond the simplest commands — now it can plan a sequence of actions to get things done. Image Playground — the image generation feature — comes to all Macs with M1 chips or newer, not just iPhone and iPad. Writing Tools (rewrite, proofread, summarize) are now available practically everywhere across the system. The on-device model has been bumped to 3 billion parameters, making it more capable without sending your data to the cloud. Private Cloud Compute, the system handling heavier requests while preserving privacy, has been expanded. For Apple, this is the release that turns AI from a demo into something genuinely useful.
